Some things I spend time on

Yeah, sure I have hobbies. I love eating, but I'm not fat. I love sleeping, but often have more important things to do. I also do a lot of thinking, but most of it tends to be pretty far from anything useful...

I like to spend time with my friends having silly discussions, watching TV, going to movies, playing games, having parties etc. See also Kokkolan Vapaamuumit. In addition to these activities I find following things pleasureable:

Basketball

I love basketball, truly. It wasn't before I came to university before I started to play frequently, but ever since it's been a very significant thing to me. My life would be considerably less wonderful without basketball.

Football

I've played football since I was 6 years old, so one can say I'm kind of veteran in this sports. Though, I haven't played football very much for three years now. I don't practise it at all nowadays, so I play in the 5th division in Finland. Even if I don't spend very much time with football anymore I still like it very much - it is fun to watch even more fun to play!!!
To my humble opinion the World Cup is the most interesting sport event on TV - I can't wait the next one to be held in France in 1998.

Skiing

I like to go skiing in Finnish Lapland or somewhere else in Scandinavia. Me and my friends make skiing trips approximately 2-3 times a year.

Guitars

I've played guitar for some 7 years now. I prefer playing blues (Clapton, Vaughan etc.), rock of the '70s (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc.) and some a bit newer stuff like Ozzy. I play a pretty cheap Strato put in a piece in Mexico. It's good for blues, but doesn't apply to anything heavy, at least not whit the sounds I have (a 50W two channel Marshall combo, a cry baby wah wah).I also have a Yamaha I play only with no amp and a cheap nylon string classical guitar.
I'm planning to get me a new guitar suitable as well for those Ozzy riffs and funkyjazz. IF I get the money...

Reading

I've been reading all kinds of books since I was 6 years old. I haven't got any favourite subject I'd like specially mention. I read just about everything: science fiction, Russian classics, paperbacks, fiction, historical novels, biographs, poetry, anything! I like writers like Camus, Waltari (Finnish), Utrio (Finnish), Hemingway, Poe, Christie and Paasilinna.
I'm also interested in philosphy and religions and have read lots of books concentrating on those subjects.

Computers

They are lovely, aren't they? No? Well, first you'll got the learn use them!

Magic

I've played Magic for some 6 months now and I'm addicted. The whole idea, cards and the excitement of playing and trading are fantastic. I spend approximately 1-2 hours a day playing Magic. If you are interested in playing or trading, note my address and pop in or send me email.
