The Depot


This is the first full size map I've made and it's still a bit of an experiment, not a very coherent map, I just added things as I thought of them. The basic idea of the map is that I tried to restrict the LOS as much as possible and give infantry some houses to take cover in. It's always nicer to get mowed down by a CMG if you're inside a nice house. There are some estethic glitches ( like the ground looking a bit too much like a fairway ), but then again I'm no Michelangelo. 99 % of the graphics are original, I just borrowed the house storey numbers, the cannons on the depot yard and the tree shadows from the much better paid ( deservedly so ) artists at Atomic. The AI by the way can't fight on this map, period. I don't know if it's something to do with the LOS-file or terrain or what, The AI simply sucks. He's not that bad on defense, but AI-attacks are a sad sight. Gotta love that Maxim in the belltower. Hope you enjoy it,

I'd like to thank KwazyDog for his mapmaker, Dreaded88 for his roof file maker ( though it might have been a nice challenge to insert 57 roof files with a hex editor..... And I'd also like to thank my left ankle for breaking thus giving me an annoyingly itchy cast and a month of freetime to make this map.
