This homepage tries to tell a few facts about me, my whrereabouts and doings and my universe. If you've been here before, you may want to take a look at the some new or refreshed things I've added here recently.

My whole name is Miika Petteri Peltonen and I'm not really particulary keen on rap music. Actually I hate it, so it can not be considered as a miracle that my friends call me Emcee (MC) If you are Finnish, try saying MC Miika P, it sounds pretty fun and moving, doesn't it. You can find me in IRC using this nick. Feel free to call me that or then just say Miika, anyway you like it.

I'm a Finnish citizen, and mostly happy about being one. My age is perhaps one of the most carefully protected military grade secrets in Finland, but there have been speculations that one could gain access into this data via net somehow.

Question: Does Miika date anyone on regular basis?

Absolutely no! There's no way this guy could ever score - he's such a wimpy loser!!! Oh come on, didn't you lay your eyes on the picture above? On the other hand, maybe...well...er...he should be pretty rich then, I guess, eh...?

My hobbies

I work

for Nokia Mobile Phones in Oulu R&D. In wintertime I'm a part timer and during summers I work full hours. I work as a software designer, focused on laboratory testing of SW to be used in cellular phones.

I study

in the University of Oulu, Finland. Oulu is a town of some 112 000 inhabitants in the northern west coast of Finland. The town itself is a very common Finnish mid-size town. I was born and have lived all my life in a town called Kokkola. Kokkola lies 200 km south from Oulu and so it is relatively easy and cheap to visit there to meet friends and to keep up with my hobbies. Note that there is a channel called #kokkola in IRC, pop in anytime you feel like.

I am also a member of an association called Kokkolan Vapaamuumit (KVM). It is a club founded by six friends in our high school times in Kokkola. The main idea of the club is to keep friends in contact with each other and to have FUN. Nowadays we have members in all major Finnish Universities including Sibelius Academy and Theather Academy as well as in the USA and in Germany.
